Hearts of Hope
A diagnosis of infertility often produces a tremendous amount of stress in a couple's
relationship. This area of ministry is designed to let women know there is hope
for them as they struggle with infertility.
Fertility Care
FertilityCare Centers of America is a dynamic, growing group of affiliated centers
that provide professional instruction in the CREIGHTON MODEL FertilityCare System
which features the new women's health science, NaProTECHNOLOGY.
Fertility Care in Europe
FertilityCare and NaProTechnology offer a new choice for fertility treatment in Europe.
FertilityCare is an exciting new development which has the potential to transform
current practice in family planning and Gynaecologic health care for women. NaProTechnology
is an alternative to IVF for couples with infertility.
The concept is simple...Women learn how to track the various phases of the fertility
cycle with the help of a specially trained teacher practitioner. As a result we
come to recognise if the fertility cycle is functioning normally or not. This information
can be used for highly effective family planning and fertility treatment in harmony
with the woman's cycle.
Pope Paul VI Institute
The Pope Paul VI Institute, founded in 1985 by Thomas W. Hilgers, MD, is internationally
recognized for its outstanding achievements in the field of natural fertility regulation
and reproductive medicine - 30 years of scientific research and educational program
development; allied health professional education programs for couples and professionals;
professional, caring, and morally acceptable patient services. The Pope Paul VI Institute
for the Study of Human Reproduction is building a culture of life in women's health
care through its major developments - Creighton Model FertilityCare System and NaProTechnology.
NaPro TECHNOLOGY
NaProTECHNOLOGY (Natural Procreative Technology) is a new women's health science
that monitors and maintains a woman's reproductive and gynecological health. It
provides medical and surgical treatments that cooperate completely with the reproductive
system.
Thirty years of scientific research in the study of the normal and abnormal states
of the menstrual and fertility cycles have unraveled their mysteries.
This is the first women's health science to network family planning with reproductive
health monitoring and maintenance. It is a fertility-care based medical approach
rather than a fertility-control approach to family planning and gynecological health.
NaPro TECHNOLOGY uses the Creighton Model FertilityCare System biomarkers to monitor
easily and objectively the occurrence of various hormonal events during the menstrual
cycle. NaProtracking provides valid information that can be interpreted by a woman
and by physicians who are specifically trained in this system.
Unlike common suppressive or destructive approaches, NaProTECHNOLOGY works cooperatively
with the procreative and gynecologic systems. When these systems function abnormally,
NaProTECHNOLOGY identifies the problems and cooperates with the menstrual and fertility
cycles that correct the condition, maintain the human ecology, and sustain the procreative
potential.
Women now have an opportunity to know and understand the causes of the symptoms
from which they suffer.
The NaProTechnology Revolution:
Unleashing the Power in a Woman's Cycle
"The NaProTechnlogy Revolution: Unleashing the Power in a Woman's Cycle" is a book
about finding real solutions to real problems--problems such as infertility, menstrual
cramps, PMS, ovarian cysts, irregular/abnormal bleeding, polycystic ovarian disease,
repetitive miscarriage, postpartum depression, prematurity prevention, hormonal
abnormalities, chronic discharges, and family planning.
Creighton Model
Women's menstrual and fertility cycles have been shrouded in mystery since the beginning
of time. Most women still do not know about the workings of their cycles of fertility
and infertility. Every woman has the right to know how her cycles function in order
to understand the way her body works.
After thirty years of amazing research, the mysteries of the menstrual and fertility
cycle have been unraveled through the CREIGHTON MODEL FertilityCare System (CrMS)
and the new women's health science of NaProTECHNOLOGY. Now, a woman can know her
cycles and use this information for the maintenance of her health, and couples can
use this knowledge to plan their family and build their future as a couple!
The CrMS relies upon the standardized observation and charting of biological markers
that are essential to a woman's health and fertility. These 'biomarkers tell the
couple when they are naturally fertile and infertile, allowing the couple to use
the system either to achieve or to avoid pregnancy. These biomarkers also telegraph
abnormalities in a woman's health. The CrMS allows a woman to unravel the mysteries
of the menstrual cycle.
The CrMS is also the basis for the new women's health science, NaProTECHNOLOGY
(natural procreative technology).
The Creighton Model FertilityCare System (CrMS) is a standardized modification
of the Billings Ovulation Method. It is built on research, education and service
(the "triangle of support" for the CrMS user) and is an integrated
educational system designed to assure the highest quality service delivery possible
for the FertilityCare Educator, Practitioner and the client couple.
Billings Method
The Billings Ovulation Method is a simple yet scientific method of Natural Family
Planning. Ongoing research has been conducted in Australia, Sweden and Spain since
it was developed over 50 years ago by physicians John and Lyn Billings of Melbourne,
Australia.
Couples using the Billings Ovulation Method track the woman's natural and unique
signs of fertility and infertility each day. Based on the primary observation of
sensation, four simple rules are applied within the woman's cycle (the first three
rules are used before ovulation and the fourth rule is applied once the fertile
phase is over) based on a couple's desire to achieve or postpone pregnancy.
