GRACE Weekend Retreat for Bereaved Families

CHILDCARE INFORMATION and ACTIVITIES

Missing GRACE (MGF) Child Care is provided on on Friday evening and Saturday during adult scheduled activities. The child care is facilitated by Missing GRACE volunteers.

There is an additional fee for children: $50 for first child $40 for second and $30 for third. These fees are in addition to the couple package prices. This fee covers breakfast on Saturday, supplies for a variety of activities for children, Saturday snack time and Saturday GRACE Child Care. All meals for children, with the exception of Saturday breakfast, are the responsibility of the parents. There are many options for food storage and fully equipped kitchens for meal preparation. Families are welcome to purchase additional rooms for their children and may also reserve a full townhome or executive lodge to have private lodging for their own family. Please inquire with Missing GRACE for pricing and details. Children will otherwise room-in with their parents. Please bring a sleeping bag or a Pack n' Play.

CHILDCARE SCHEDULE and FAMILY SCHEDULED TIMES

Friday, October 24th:
6:30-9:30 PM       Missing GRACE (MGF) Welcome with Wine and Cheese Social
                             Kids welcome ~ child friendly drinks and snacks will be available.
                             Childcare also provided with games and movies from 6:30-9:00 PM.

Saturday, October 25th:
Childcare is provided from 9:00 AM to 12:15 PM and from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and then childcare resumes at 6:15 PM and ends at 9:00 PM.
The childcare will include a quiet time with movie/videos and quiet activities (coloring, crafts) offered for older children and nap time for the little ones. Outdoor activities will be included in the childcare. If there are certain activities a parent prefers their child not participate, please indicate this on their registration form. Snack time will be provided and will include crackers, fruit, applesauce, yogurt, string cheese, juice, water or milk.

8:00-10:00 AM     Breakfast provided by MGF in unit 516 (kids welcome)
8:00-12:00 PM     Open Activity Time for Families
10:00-12:00 PM   Guided Hike (meet in front of main lodge at 9:45 AM for shuttle van.)
                             Parents must be prepared that this is a hike that is difficult for young children.
9:00-12:15 PM     MGF Childcare program available
12:15-1:00 PM     Parents must pick up their children to provide them with lunch. Children need to return to the childcare program by 1:00 PM.
1:00-5:00 PM       MGF Childcare program
5:00 PM               Parents must pick up their kids and provide them with dinner. Children need to return to childcare by 6:00 PM.
6:00-9:00 PM       MGF Childcare program
9:00 PM               MGF Childcare program ends
9:00-11:00 PM     Memorial Candle Lighting (kids welcome) and Bonfire with S’mores followed by pool/Jacuzzi time

Sunday, October 26th:
8:00-12:30 PM      Open Activity Time for Families
12:30-3:00 PM      Potluck Lunch and Closing (kids welcome)
